The Oddingtons Cotswold Village

Lower Oddington is where you will find the renowned Fox Inn, a Cotswold stone British pub which is cool in the summer months thanks to its flagstone floors, yet cosy in the winter due to its exposed beams and open fires. The Fox can make a perfect setting for either a cosy, romantic meal or a larger family get together. Next door in Upper Oddington the Good Beer Guide selects The Horse & Groom as a must see for their superior food and selection of ales.

The local area is a heaven for foodies who will delight in a trip to Daylesford Organics where it is worth booking a table in one of their eateries – choose from the Trough Café, The Old Spot Restaurant or the Legbar. Visit Chipping Norton on the third Saturday of the month and pick up a local delicacy at the wellstocked farmers market.

And for guests who want to take in the delights of several of the most popular Cotswolds villages, StowontheWold is a mere 2 miles away with MoretoninMarsh and Chipping Norton both no more than ten minutes by car

Things To Do in The Oddingtons

For a family day out, you can’t go far wrong with a visit to Cotswold Farm park, owned by Countryfile’s very own Adam Henson. On a tour of the rare breeds trail you can feed the greedy goats and sheep before stroking the farms’ gentle giants – the Suffolk Punch horses. The wildlife walk has one and two-mile option, stopping at the Ox Shed on your way back for a well-earned coffee. If adventure playgrounds are required you’ll be spoilt for choice with zip wires, construction corner, muddy kitchen, bouncy pillows and a woodland walk, perfect for den building. Then home to your family-friendly cottage to rest weary legs and clean muddy boots. Kick back and relax safe in the knowledge that the entire place is your own for you to enjoy all the home from home comforts that only a Cotswold cottage holiday can offer.
