Location Information

The Old Workshop is located in the picturesque village of Combrook, whose history is closely linked with that of the nearby Compton Verney estate, for which it once served as the estate village, providing living accommodation for a number of the servants. The village dates from at least the time of Henry I, circa 1086, when a small medieval church was built in the village.
A mere 10 miles away you'll find Stratford-upon-Avon, a bustling market town steeped in character and history. Guests have a selection of well-regarded country pubs, eateries, tea rooms and boutique shops just moments from the doorstep! Why not enjoy an evening at The One Elm, Vintner's or Loxley’s restaurant and wine bar. For lunch or a coffee we suggest The Boston Tea Party or York's.
Catch a play at one of the Royal Shakespeare Company’s three theatres the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and the Swan Theatre, which both share a building on Waterside, and The Other Place, which is a short walk away on Southern Lane. Best to book in advance.
For your shopping essentials, there are a variety of superstores located in Stratford-upon-Avon including Marks & Spencers, Tescos, Morrisons and Waitrose.
Stratford-upon-Avon is ideally situated in the Warwickshire, north of the Cotswolds, perfect for exploring things to do in Stratford-upon-Avon and other nearby towns and villages such as Warwick, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water and Broadway.
